Haverhill and the surrounding villages are well served with schools under the control of the Local Education Authority, working within a three-tier system, primary, middle and upper.

The quality of education is very good and students are encouraged to develop their academic skills to the best of their abaility, while also involving themselves in a wide range of sporting, art and community activities. Upper school students participate in work experience, with the great majority being placed with local companies.
