Micrometics Limited, based in Haverhill since 1993, specialises in the design and manufacture of glass to metal seals and their application in solving difficult environmental containment problems. Applications range from aerospace connectors through to penetration systems used in the nuclear industry. Glass to metal sealing is also used widely in the hybrid microelectronic and fibre-optic industries. The company also serves the military, medical, telecommunications and marine engineering sectors.

  
Micrometics has a separate electroplating factory, equipped to apply and control the varied and selective plating finishes required on its products.
